They are not kidding when they call this Labor Day weekend! They really need to rename it to Relax Weekend or something. It’s been pretty much one shoot after another these last few days.
Some of the people I have shot this weekend in Lo Bosworth, The Wolf Pack from Twilight, Carmen Electra, Will.I.Am, Teresa Giudice, Busta Rhymes and a few others. Oh and the Jefferson Starship concert.
I know, you want pictures, ok. since this whole weekend kinda ran together into one, I’m going to do the same for this blog post.
Carmen Electra turned up the heat yesterday at the Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay.
“The Twilight Saga” stars Tinsel Korey, Alex Meraz and Julia Jones indulged in some sweets at the Sugar Factory in Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood on Saturday.
Friday night, Lauren “Lo” Bosworth celebrated the launch of her new website www.TheLoDown.com at Lavo
Black Eyed Peas front man will.i.am was spinning at Wet Republic giving poolside partiers a DJ set they will never forget.
With will.i.am was Omarion so you know Wet Republic got crazy…

Yeah, I know I left a few out, however that’s ok since I did not even list everyone that got in front of my lens this weekend. When things calm down a little I will post more pics from this Labor Day weekend.
The Men of Chippendales is by joined by Estella Warren, she has been featured in Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Maxim and you may remember her from the movie Planet of the Apes or the 70′s show.
Estella is the first of many more guest hosts as the Chippendales launch their Ultimate Girls Night Out! party/show at the Rio Hotel and Casino.
Then it was off to the Palms to catch Stacy Keibler on her way to host the Las Vegas Fantasy Football Super Draft VIP Party.
After that it was time to shoot Fantasia Barrino as she celebrated her “Back to Me” album release at Rain Nightclub with a performance and a “short” red carpet appearance.
Strange thing about Fantasia is many times she has stated that she is never asked to walk the Red Carpet, however when she does get asked, she rushes though it spending only about 20 seconds in front of the cameras. Strange….
Joining Fantasia as she celebrated her new album release was actress and fashion designer LisaRaye.
Talk about a crazy night. Last night was one of the craziest Red Carpets I have covered in a long time!
The press area was packed with photographers and video crews, so packed that at many times during the night we were literally stepping on each other. It was estimated that there were around 300 people from the international press there all in an area about the size of a large family room.
I think I was the only “normal” one there… 
However as luck would have it, standing next to me the whole night was Crystal Stewart, Miss USA 2008. She was interviewing the celebrity guests for TMG as they arrived at the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant.

Australian rock-n-roll export, Wolfmother appeared on the Summer Stage at the Hard Rock Hotel tonight and jammed to hundreds of fans that turned out to see them in their second to last concert here in the US. They were not disappointed cause these guys really know how to rock the house.
The Grammy award winning foursome is celebrating the success of their recent release, Cosmic Egg, hitting platinum status in their native Australia.
The band members of Wolfmother include Andrew Stockdale (far left – vocals and guitar), Aidan Nemeth (far right – guitar), Ian Peres (front, center – bass and keyboards), and Will Rockwell-Scott (in the back – drums)

Last night was a night of glamor and fun as all 83 contestants for Miss Universe competed in the Preliminary Competition held last night at the Mandalay Bay Arena.
The candidates were judged in different competitions that includes: swimsuit, evening gown and intelligence by way of interviews.
First up was the evening gown competition featuring all the beautiful ladies wearing their gowns for their walk on the runway.
Followed by everyone’s favorite part of the pageant, the bikini competition.
Celebrity judges last night were Basim Shami, BJ Coleman, Carlos Bremer, Corinne Nicolas, Louis Burgdorf, Natalie Rotman, and Sadoux Kim.
The 2010 Miss Universe Pageant will be live on NBC on August 23, 2010 at 9:00 pm ET

Wow, what a busy night… First covering Miss Universe events then Stephanie’s Magazine release and then the Movie premiere of the Takers. I love my job!
The red carpet outside of Lagasse’s Stadium for this premiere was huge! The press was out in full force to cover it, photographers and video crews all shoulder to shoulder out in the Vegas heat. Yay!
But dwarfing the press was the fans! 100′s of them filled the sidewalk as they waited patiently for the arrivals of the Takers cast and other celebrities to walk the carpet. Due to the amount of fans and the friendliness of all the stars signing autographs, this carpet was one of the longer ones, lasting from 10:30 to midnight.
So whats the movie about?
A group of professional bank robbers (Michael Ealy, Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker, Idris Elba) who specialize in spectacular robberies, are pulled into one last job by a recently paroled cohort (T.I) only to be pitted against a hard-boiled detective (Matt Dillon) who interrupts their heist.
The Takers is due to be released in theaters on August 27th.
Nole Marin, director of Runway from America’s Next Top Model, and Stephanie Pratt, cover model for Runway’s summer issue, joined together as the magazine presented “What’s Hot, What’s New, What’s Next in Fashion” at Lavo at the Palazzo on Tuesday.
Bonus fact: The Hills star Stephanie Pratt is Spencer Pratt’s younger sister and the sister-in-law of Heidi Montag.
After all the public appearances and interviews, Miss Universe Pageant contestants have been making they decided to take a break and go down to City Center for an awesome dinner last night at Todd English P.U.B. If you haven’t eaten at the P.U.B. yet, you do not know what you are missing!

JERSEY BOYS Las Vegas, the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, celebrates its 1000th performance at The Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 28. To celebrate the milestone performance, JERSEY BOYS will host the “Walk Like a Man” shoe drive where fans can bring a pair of new children’s shoes to the theater lobby between 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. August 28 in exchange for a complimentary ticket to this special performance. A maximum of two pairs of shoes per person will be allowed and up to 1,000 tickets will be distributed to fans who participate in the shoe drive. The complimentary tickets are only valid for the 6:30 p.m. performance on August 28. All shoes will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas.
JERSEY BOYS performs at The Palazzo Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 7 p.m.; Tuesday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and dark on Wednesday.
Las Vegas is getting it’s own franchise in the Lingerie Football League this fall.
Sunday dozens of women turned out to tryout for their place on the new team. Even Former Playmate and Baywatch star Angelica Bridges turned out to try to win a spot on the team.
These girls have heart, lots and lots of heart as Gene Hackman would say. They were made to do pretty much everything a real NFL tryout would, they did not make it easy for them. Ever see a 110 pound girl attempt to rush by a 270 pound man that is there to stop her?
The team is still looking for a name and the LFL is taking suggestions for it. If you think you have a great name for the Las Vegas team you can email it to the LFL. If your team name submission is picked you win season tickets for life! How cool is that?

Bonus Fact: The 2011 Lingerie Bowl will be played in Las Vegas on Super Bowl Sunday
So I get an assignment from Pollstar to shoot the band Primus when they played at the Joint last night inside the Hard Rock Hotel. Awesome show, the fans went wild over these guys. Les, has to be one of the best bass players I have ever seen. This guy just rocks!
Primus‘ musical style is difficult to define. Primus has been called everything from “thrash-funk meets Don Knotts” to “the Freak Brothers set to music” I agree however I agree in a good way.
There is not any real way to describe them. I guess if I had to say they’re unique, they’re a square peg in a round hole.
Model, actress and author Jenny McCarthy hosted the Palms Casino Resort’s 4th Annual Midsummer Night’s Dream tonight – It was a Masquerade Lingerie Bacchanalia, luring in Las Vegas’ most sinister Gods and Goddesses to party poolside to the wee hours of the night.
and talk about a Goddesses… Wow!
I know you are wondering… What the heck is a “Bacchanalia” Well… don’t worry about looking it up, I did it for you since I too had no idea that a “Bacchanalia” was.
“The bacchanalia were wild and mystic festivals of the Greek and Roman god Bacchus (or Dionysus). It has since come to describe any form of drunken revelry.”
Guess that means it was one heck of a party.
So last night at John Fitch’s bachelor party, I look down to the end of the carpet and see someone that makes me stop and think to myself, I know her, I think? Yeah I do, well maybe not, oh hell I don’t know… Unknown to me, she is looking at me thinking the same thing.
After a few minutes of this I walk over and as I get closer I realize that I do in fact know her and at the same time, she realizes the same thing. We both laugh… while I try to cover up the look of Duh! on my face…
So who was this girl with a full film crew? It was Model and TV Personality Stephanie that I shot just last month. This is what happens when you get old, you start to forget things, even beautiful models. <headdesk>
So of course I make her pose on the red carpet for me as I do my test shot, she is way better looking than the other photographers there that normally stand in for test shots.
She will probably kill me for this but here’s another of her, interviewing UFC fighter John Fitch.

Semi-Precious Weapons was at Studio 54 last night to celebrate another outrageous concert with Lady Gaga at MGM Grand’s Garden Arena.
Several years back, Semi-Precious Weapons asked Lady Gaga to perform as their opening act in NYC and now she is returning the favor for her worldwide tour!
Bai Ling was also on hand and in the mood to party.
The after-concert party must have been a wild night with these guys leading the way to craziness. I’m still not sure why a guy would wear high heel boots and pose like a girl on the red carpet however maybe after hanging with Lady Gaga this is mild….
